Black Heart Bart has returned to racing in typically blistering form this time and remains a clear odds-on favourite in 2017 Futurity Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Black Heart Bart stormed onto the east coast racing scene during the 2016 autumn and winter; running second in each of the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m), Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) and Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m), as well as winning both the Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m) and Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m).

Having run home well for second in the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) first-up this time, in what was his only other start prior to winning the Group 1 Ladbrokes CF Orr Stakes (1400m) a fortnight ago, Black Heart Bart appears as though he will just win the Futurity Stakes on Saturday.

Turn Me Loose maintained to the line well for second in the Ladbrokes CF Orr Stakes and has so-far received the greatest share of attention in 2017 Futurity Stakes betting markets; firming onto the second line at a $7 quote.

A multiple Group 1 winner, Turn Me Loose announced himself to the Australian racing community via an impressive 2015 Spring Carnival campaign that was highlighted by a smart win in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m).

Clearly requiring a run when seventh in the Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) first-up on January 27th, the Ifraaj gelding’s performance last time out suggests he will be right in the finish of the Futurity Stakes.

Palentino arguably offers punters the best value in 2017 Futurity Stakes betting markets and is interestingly the only other runner currently available at single-figure odds ($7).

A multiple Group 1 winner, Palentino is always at his best third-up in a preparation; winning the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) as a third point of call last autumn and the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) third-up in spring.

The Futurity Stakes will be the Teofilo entire’s third start this time, having finished fourth in each of the Australia Stakes and Ladbrokes CF Orr Stakes so far.
